Great collection, great photography!
ReplyDeleteI love old photos!! Great collection.
ReplyDeleteI also love old photos...What great memories!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful apothecary jars to display the collection. I have several family portraits some dating back before 1900... I really love them and need to display them more.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection, I love how some are displayed in the apothocary jar! I always wonder, when I see old photo's being sold in antique stores, how they ended up there. Can you imagine your baby pics being sold??? Well, their loss is our gain and having actual family ones is even more special:)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous in the jar. I nearly bought some "relatives" at a flea on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection! I love them in the jar!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of old photos and a neat way to display them in the apothecary jar.

I LOVE old vintage photos. I always wonder how families end up not having all the ones that the rest of us find! And "thanks" for stopping by my blog today. It's appreciated.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue
I always enjoy pouring over the dresses in the old photos. Such elegance!
ReplyDeleteLove the collection and so pretty how you displayed them.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Honey ! I love the richness of vintage photos. They have so much character! It makes me sad, though, that orphaned photos are not in albums belonging to the descendents of these people. They would be such treasures on Ancestry.com. Thankfully, these beauties are in the hands of someone who loves them ! Thank you for performing Ancestor Rescue ! Have a great day !
ReplyDeleteI love those photos of the ladies, and I love the idea of adopted relatives. Sometimes they are more fun than the real kind, ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteLove your collection -- I have similar photos displayed in a glass jar like you do -- I may have gotten the idea FROM you! They always look so scary in those old photos -- guess if I was laced up like they were, I'd be frowning too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of pictures. I love the idea of the pictures in the apothecary jar. Just pinned it to my pinterest board "clever ideas" and added your blog address :-).

ReplyDeleteI had never heard of the Carte de Visite photos and had to google them just now to find out more. So neat!
I love old pics too and have many thinking i may frame some of the really attractive ones and claim them as my own!!! Like you said, Instant Ancestors, right?
:)
Thanks so much for linking up Honey!!!

ReplyDeleteI just found your awesome blog. I have joined and would be honored for you to follow my blog. Lynn
ReplyDeletePure eye candy for me as I love old photos and family history. Just charming!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always Loved the Sage & Sepia tones of Vintage Photographs. I'm fortunate to have inherited almost all of our Old Family Photos like that and I too have 'adopted' some Orphaned Photos that appealed to me. *winks* I always wonder how or why anyone would get rid of photos of Loved Ones and their Ancestors... it it such a part of Family History?
