Crystal and Candles Mantel

Simple with a bit of rustic and romance is the look of the mantel in the master bedroom.

An old berry garland, entwined with burlap ribbon was the basis.

Three crystal vases were added.   The two on each end
are identical;  the one in the middle
 is  larger and elevated a  bit.

Inside each vase  candles are lit for a soft glow.

It's  actually snowing just North of us, so 
we may be in store for a fire tonight.

Berry Glitzy Mantel

Although torn by  the idea of using  natural elements in decorating the mantel, it was screaming for glitz,  shades of red  and berries.  So using things I already owned I went for

Berry Glitzy!

Gold candlesticks  with candles wrapped in beaded garlands and  gold reindeer stand guard,

while berry  bushes and  and  small sugared fruit swags do a death-defying balancing act.

 Intertwined is double-sided velvet/gold ribbon.

 Angels on the hearth.

Complete the picture.

A Little Spring

The Vase is  Vintage 60’s  Art Glass.  My Husband, when he was a wee lad,  gave this to his Mother for Mother’s Day.
