My Fall mantel is done, almost! Now that I see the pictures, I'm thinking of other things to add.
Do you do that? Constantly tweek?
I see beautiful simple mantels which appeal to me, but my fireplace mantel just screams (yes, it screams) for something else: color.
I put a bunch of eucalyptus (it smells so nice!) in a large white and brown transfer ware pitcher.
Added floral sprigs, lotus pods
Books, Candles,
Two ribbons
And a ceramic pumpkin. I haven't seen any gourds or pumpkins here yet. Maybe soon, then I can tweek again.
Speaking of tweeking, I added ribbon to my armoire, shown in a previous post here. But, I forgot to take pictures of the change.
Until next time, Honey

ReplyDeleteI think it is looking good, Honey! I usually do tweak, especially after seeing pictures. I think I'm good this year though. I also am waiting to get some real pumpkins into the mix. I'm sure some tweaking will occur then!

ReplyDeleteTweak? Who me? Of course we ALL do that! Kathy is right... Pictures don't lie so I usually tweak then. Love your brown transferware pitcher so pretty. Your mantle is looking great!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel looks very pretty! I am always tweaking. I also find that I can "see" things alot better from a picture than I can just looking at it....which then leads to more tweaking. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking very nice, Honey! So pretty for fall!

Beautiful Honey!!! Love it! I love and admire the simple decorating too, but like you, I have to have color as well!!

It looks beautiful! I haven't done much decorating yet. It's still in the 80's here so no sign of Autumn temps. I did add an Autumn wreath to the front door and a few tings in the house. But my mantel....well it's unchanged. giggle xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

This is such a pretty mantel, Honey--I love all the various shades of eucalyptus in your transferware pitcher, and I like the book stack as well. I am just starting my mantel--I've got all my raw materials for it sitting around, waiting for me to play with them! Just need a few free minutes!
ReplyDeleteHow festive - love the lotus pods! I just found pumpkins the other day myself!
