Bruges Swans

Saturday was a busy day in Bruges, with people scurrying about and  lunching at outdoor cafes,  while others  sat back to watch the boats on the canals float past  and the peaceful poise of the swans.

Bruges, Belgium ~ April 30, 2011

“The swan in the pool is singing,
And up and down doth he steer,
And, singing  gently ever,
 Dips under the water clear.”

  4. I have just had a big catch up and read your previous posts. I am so happy that your vacation was so wonderful. I am sorry to hear that you had a sinus infection on your return though. I always seem to get that when I come back from holidays. I guess our bodies need time to re-adjust.

    Best wishes and happy week,
    Natasha.

Thanks for coming by, and in answer to your question, the water in my photo was from snow melt.

  6. What beautiful photos of Bruges! I was SO looking forward to seeing Bruges, and the day we got there I was sick. I went on the tour anyway, but it wasn't fun. Nevertheless, I loved this beautiful city. (March 2011)
