Chippy Change

 Recently I gave a candle stand/pedestal a bit of a shabby, chippy white up-do.

This is what it looked like to begin with. Kinda ugly, huh?

I gave it a couple of coats of gesso.  Since gesso is water soluble, I used a wet toothbrush to sand off the edges of the gesso to allow the old finish to show through, giving it that chippy aged look.

All it needs is a candle, or perhaps it will find it's way into a cloche!

It's a quick, easy-peasy change for a completely different look, and ready for a tablescape!

...Until next time, Honey
